Mom Westenskow's Chinese noodles

1 lb ground beef or turkey

1 onion, chopped

1/2 bunch celery, chopped


4 c. boiling water

2 pkg. Lipton soup

2/3 c. dry rice


1/2 c. chopped or slivered almonds




Cook meat, adding onion and celery after draining any grease. Put into a glass dish (not bigger than a 9 x 13). Put soup and rice in a separate bowl. Pour boiling water over them, mix well. Pour mixture over meat in casserole dish. Sprinkle with the almonds. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.


We like it with soy sauce on it also...
