Chocolate Baked Cracker (Tawni Lawrence)

Preheat oven to 400. Spray non-sticking cooking spray onto a cookie sheet that has sided. Lay down 35 saltine crackers - face up. Cook the following for 2-3 minutes:
1 c butter

1 c brown sugar

Remove from heat and add up to 1 tsp almond extract, according to taste.

Mix well and pour over crackers, spreading evenly. Bake for 4-6 minutes (until golden brown). Remove and immediately add:

1 large chocolate bar broken in pieces or

1 pkg of chocolate chips (milk or semisweet) or

1 pkg of miniature Reese's pieces


Spread evenly over crackers (if needed, put back in oven to help chocolate melt.

Let cool thoroughly and enjoy. *Optional-sprinkle chopped almonds on top
